Thumbs up Camping season 2014 starts today!

Camping season starts today. I have tomorrow off so I am meeting my brother for 2 full days of trout fishing and bike riding along the Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus Virginia. The weather should be about perfect for camping, a little cool at night but 60s in the daytime.

I moved some stuff back into the camper last weekend, aired up the tires and re-installed the battery so it should be good to go.

I hope you have a great campout, the weather does sound perfect. This will be the second weekend in the last ten weekends that we haven't gone out, however, we will be going out starting nest Thursday for the weekend.

Sounds like a great trip. I have not been to the area, what campground are you staying at?

I am staying at Laurel Creek RV Park which isn't really much of a place, but it right on the creek where I will be fishing opposite the Virginia Creeper Trail.

Looked at the website. It did not say if it was big rig friendly. Will it take a 40 5er

My season started on the last weekend of March. I did not worry much about dewinterizing as we never saw a hard freeze, but I did make sure my faucets and the low points where left open after the first weekend. Next weekend will be the 3rd camping weekend in the RV. I use my RV a lot, usually 20+ weekends between end of march and thanksgiving followed by 2 weeks in FL in January.

It was pretty tight with my 21 foot TT. I saw a 5th wheeler there a couple weekends ago but don't know the size. The road into it was tight with overhanging brush so I can't recommend it for large trailers.
