Camping Tampa/Clearwater area

Good day
Where is a good camping site to be in the Clearwater/Tampa area?
I have a class A Georgetown, not too fancy of a campground, but has wifi, cable, W/S/E and clean facilities?
Thanks

I just looked at pics of a campground in Madeira Beach that looked nice. It is a little south of Clearwater. Ft. Desoto is a county park that is very nice south of St. Pete. I am sure there are a few others.

Moose...we stayed recently in Hudson 3 Lakes Resort...just north of NewPortRichey on rt.19...they are nearly or totally full at the moment but DO have a first timers deal for week @$189 which is excellent for the quality of the park and facilities which are superior...great clubhouse w/billiards, airhockey, pingpong, library, bingo poker etc and something going on every day. concrete level pads w/ good wifi , heated 84 degree pool, This is not a camping type place...but a park where you have good access to everything you need within 5 miles and is close enough to Tampa/Clearwater for day trips. GREAT canoe/kayak rental trips over at weekie-wachee springs within 10 miles in crystal clear 80 degree spring water.

If you are considering Bay Bayou, you might also want to consider Dunedin RV Resort, RV Parks in Clearwater Florida - Dunedin RV Park - Carefree RV

There is also a Madeira Beach KOA that is pretty nice and reasonable.

Tampa-Clearwater

We also stayed at Maderia Beach KOA. Really nice park at a reasonable price. We were backed up to the bay with water 15 ft from the RV. Boat ramp, canoe rentals and easy parking. Good park.
We had to book 4 months in advance to get a week at Ft. Desoto. They stay booked. Really nice park especially if you have a boat, canoe or Kayak.

Two thumbs up on both Dunedin RV Resort and Bay Bayou.

Bay Bayou is right off a busy highway. Not the place for relaxation

You only hear the road on the sites on yhe south part of the campground near the water. We were in the middle of the park and it was not noisy at all.
