Camping Tunes (what's on your IPOD)

What's on your camping play list?

Nothing?

Or something something else?

Well, my "iPod" that is in my RV is actually my AppleTV (2 of them actually). So the short answer of what I have is yes

I have 1000+ movies, 2000+ TV shows, and 5000+ songs (I'm less of a music person nowadays )

Everything from The Beatles to Ozzy; The Eagles to Garth Brooks; 50's & 60's to Rush. I love all types of music except hair bands. My DH pretty much likes everything but 50's and 60's.

We'll have to go along with Glockfanjohn - country and western; however, we would like the crickets or waves - never thought of that. We have an old radio with nature sounds, but it barely works anymore.

I just got through installing two cd racks below my entertainment center in our Puma 25RS. I told the DW...one is mine, the other is yours. I like country, she likes a little Buffet and others. We were using a small player in our PUP that we traded in, now we are doing it bigtime...

It took us 15 years to get from cassette tapes and vinyl LP's to CDs. We haven't joined the iPod craze. My main interest in music is baroque classical and dixieland jazz (with some sympathy to my fellow Lancastrians, the Beatles). I was in college in the UK when the Beatles made their first appearance on TV, and all four of them were within a couple of years of my age.

DW isn't interested in the kind of music I like, so the entertainment system is switched off 95% of the time.
I can't remember tha last time we used the car entertainment system, except for traffic and weather reports, unless one or the other of us was driving solo! I used to listen to CBC Radio 2's classical station (we're within easy radio distance of Vancouver and Victoria) but they recently cut back the classical music to the time between 10:00 and 15:00 instead of 24 hours a day.

We have nearly 3,000 songs with over 100 artists ranging from the Who, to Springsteen, to Jimmy Buffet, to Adele, to Martina McBride to Neil Diamond to New Order to Soho to Roxy Music to the Black Eyed Peas to Queen to David Bowie to Boston to Enya to Pink Floyd and everything in between.

Country music is 10%
AOR Rock is about 60%
Alternative is about 10%
Reggae is maybe 5%
80s general tunes - 15%

Got a little of everything from Doo Wop to Blues. I don't have Dixie Chicks, Bruce, Barbara, U2, West, and a few choice others. 22000 tracks to be exact. iPad/iPod is the bomb.

Toleworks, That makes two of us on the Dixie Chicks, West, and babs. I do not agree with Springsteen's politics but I have enjoyed his music for over 30 years. Assuming you legally acquired all 22,000 songs, you have more in music dollar wise than it cost for my 2011 Rockwood Roo 233s! I play very little music while I camp, kind of like low key and quiet. I do play music while I am on the water on my boat though.

Love to sit around the fire with SWMBO, an adult beverage and a little Sam Cooke. I don't file-share, but recording music from you tube for my personal use ain't no different than recording a movie on TIVO, IMHO. Oops, make that 22.5k.

We have 600+ CDs worth of music (25G) ripped to MP3 on a thumb drive. At last count 8622 songs. Everything from Bluegrass to Big Band to Classic rock. Artie Shaw to Porter Wagoner to ZZ Top. But also have XM & Pandora via my tablet piped right into the RV sound system. No rap or funk however!
