As in walls and dinette, unless you found it outside, do you have a sleeper where you found it? Or a recliner?

Rivet? I thought they only used chewing gum or nothing at all?
Hang on to it, one day in a galaxy far, far away, it will be revealed.

rwatson, like you and dchapman, I too have a 21DS. Mine also has the murphy bed. Would you please take a moment and post a picture of the problematic rivets in the murphy bed? I'd like to inspect mine and a picture of yours would help greatly. And like you, I've had only minor problems with my unit...and those I have fixed myself.
Thanks!

Part of the IED that goes off 30 days after the warranty expires. All RV's have them.

It is small...described as a nap couch. Folds flat to accomodate the Murphy Bed. If this is a rivet it seems way too large to be part of the framing of the coach. About the size of the pivots for the right side if the couch. The item is smooth and unmarked. No evidence of a 'misfire' if from a riveting machine.

I don't see anything with rivets regarding my Murphy Bed. It appears to be a wooden structure with a piano hinge and 2 gas struts.

That's what I remember from mine. Hopefully rwatson will be able to post a pic so we can see what his looks like.

It is part of the drawer slider. I was able to pop it back into place. Supposed to keep it closed but no better with it in than when it was popped out. Doesn't affect the overall use of the drawer and it would be far too much work to replace the sliders because they are pop-riveted to the drawer and metal mounting brackets. Thanks for all of your entertaining guesses and comments. 😜

Include me in 21ds owners. I suspected that piano hinge might become an issue and will be watching it.

Looking at the picture. The shank to the left, is it threaded inside?
