ID:	115984. I was cleaning under the jackknife sofa in my Microlite 21 DS and I came across this little item. It is approximately 1/2" long. It looks somehow familiar but I can't quite place it. Anyone recognize it?

It looks like a rivet that never got peened. Most likely a dropsy from the assembly line.

If that is a solid piece, it almost looks like part of a grommet tool set.

Seriously, it's a whatchmacallit and it fits into the thingamajig.
I have a 21ds also. FYI the rivets that anchor my Murphy bed are pulling apart. 3 months out of warranty, suggest you keep an eye on yours.
It will be a self repair.
Safe travels!

Which rivets are pulling apart? Ours has only been up and down 20-30 times so far. How is your sofa holding up?

Looks like a peg that is used with 3 others to adjust shelf height.

The rivets are pulling apart where the base of the Murphy bed attaches to the frame. The right side is worse than the left. Warranty person at FR said it's not covered and 3 months out of warranty.
Peco campers never advised me of the FR extended warranty, but they did offer an expensive dealer warranty.
The sofa is good, no issues. No other issues noted with the rest of the TT.

It is a "spare parts starter kit" a different model came with my a-frame camper.

That's a possibility. There are 2 pivot points on the sofa that are rivets about this size. They are painted/powder coated black but this could have been hiding in the structure somewhere. The only other rivets I see in the trailer are much smaller, pop-rivets.

Frame as in trailer chassis or as in walls and dinette?
