Can't get my rv back

I am a new RV owner of a 2016 Legacy. After one trip I returned my RV for some warranty work. I bought the RV in Tampa Fl. and they claimed I would get great service after the sale but when I got an appointment and took it in I couldn't get it back. I took it in on Nov 4 2015 and it is still there. They always act like it will only be a couple more days when I call but nothing seems to happen. As of now they have had my RV about as long as I have. Any advice as to how to get action from the worlds largest RV dealer?

Call FR Legacy division and have them find a different dealer to make your repairs and then go pick up your coach.

Getting parts for them seems to be a bit of struggle but give them a deadline and make them stick to it. Most of the time the dealer I use near Orlando is begging me to pick it up so they have more room. They had mine for about 2 months trying to get a replacement door that came in broken twice and wrong once. But when I called to check on it they said I could pick it up if I wanted and they would call when it came in.

It seems to be a common practice to drag out warranty repairs particularly during summer busy months to discourage future claims by costing you most of your camping season.

Good luck.

That seems like an absurd amount of time, no matter what part they are waiting for, or service is being performed...they could have built you a brand new one in that amount of time. I would contact Forest River, and be looking for another approved service provider.

Me too. My dealer has had my Avenger for 4 of the 7 months ive owned it. I personally will never buy a forest river product again. I had a Surveyor before this that was junk too.

Had the same problem at CW in Ocala FL ( or summerfield FL). They blamed the problem on the blind mfg so I called the blind MFG to see what the problem was and found that there was no record of any request from CW. When I called CW they then told me the problem was with the factory. So I called the factory and then it was funny, the next day I get a call from CW saying the Legacy MH would be ready the next day. I had to make a trip to Indiana and found that Total Value RV(Miranda) in Elkhart in a timely fashion took care of any and all warranty work I needed. I really can relate to your frustration.

Can you get a independent repair facility or a mobile repair authorized to perform the work? There's been talk on the forum that some dealers are not always the best option for repair work.

Something to consider...
