Question Carbon Monoxide Sensor Question

This morning at 2:30 am the Carbon Monoxide sensor went off in our trailer and is still Beeping. The Propane is shut off, the trailer is hooked to shore power, Battery is at 2/3 power. Furnace, Fridge, Hot water tank are Off, Holding tanks are Empty. The only things that are powered are the lights and the radio; and they are all turned Off! Doors and Windows Are Open.

What caused it to go off and How do I shut it off? This is The First Time I have ever had a trailer that has a Carbon Monoxide Detector and our trailer is Brand new.

Thank you in advance for your answers!

pull it out of the wall and disconnect the 12V wires... sometimes they are faulty...

Thanks for the tip, but I will pass on that idea. It's a brand new trailer, we have only towed it 7 miles from the dealer to our house and slept in it for 1 1/2 nights.
I will be bringing it back to the dealer!

The sensor has just finally shut itself off! Dang that is a loud and Obnoxious Beeper!

Thank you for your answer.
2/3 rds. of battery power should not be low enough to make the sensor go off in the middle of the night, or at least a person wouldn’t think so.
I will ask the service department at the dealer tomorrow.

If your unit is hooked to shore power, the panel indicator lights for your battery should show "fully charged" even if the battery is less than fully charged. All 4 lights ON indicate the converter/charger is charging the battery. I suspect your battery charge is low. Maybe your battery disconnect switch is in Disconnect mode OR your 120vAC breaker for your converter is tripped/OFF OR your converter has failed. IMHO

Use a multi-meter and check your battery charge with the converter breaker off or the unit unplugged from shore power.

so by adding detail to your answers I am going to guess that maybe you slept in it and the furnace kicked on?

If so, then oils still left from manufacturing of the furnace burn off and create a gas that the detector sensed and went off... You can't be at odds at the detector for doing the job it was intended to do

Leave the doors/windows open and kick on the furnace again and let the last of that burn off before taking it back...

Thanks for your suggestions! We have slept in it for the past 2 nights. The first night we had the furnace on with no problem. Last night was warmer, so we turned the furnace off.

Yes we have a little dog. She was laying on the bed with us. It was only the second time she has been in the trailer and that was to sleep with us. In the door, on the bed and that's as far as she went.

Are you sure it's the CO detector going off, or is it the propane detector? Also why don't you tell us what brand of trailer you own and what model.

We have a 2019 Forest River Cascade 22 Foot Trailer with the rear living quarters . The sensor that was going off say Carbon Monoxide on it and it is ion the back wall of the trailer down close to the floor.

Power was 12 volt because we were not plugged into shore power. Fridge, furnace and Hot water were turned off, as were the propane tanks.

Check if the light on the panel is blinking. My blinks and you can read the pattern (look at the users manual or maybe its explained on the panel) and find out what the error is. It can still be 12 v low. My refrigerator is hooked to the same 12v line and occasionally the refrigerator fan will cause a low 12 voltage on that circuit. I just pull the 12v fuse and it resets.

The Beeper started gowing off all by itself a few minutes ago! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Nobody has been near the trailer for about 2 hours, everything except shore power is on, windows and doors are wide open and have been since 2:30 am this morning!

I went out to check the code. Green light Red, Red, Red for 19 beeps and then back to Green, a few seconds more then the same code.
As I was laying on the floor trying to read the writings on it and take a couple of photos, the code quit happening!

This is enough to make the Pope Swear a Blue Streak!

Attached are 2 photos of the sensor

We had the exact thing happen but had the trailer for longer. Ours never did stop until we removed the battery. We ended up taking it out, buying a new one, and still haven't put the new one back in. We called the dealer and they told us to reset it and that once the battery was recharged it would stop. It didn't. After a week of just letting it go, we took it out. Awful.

Push the reset button on the front. The button on mine is below the warning lights.
Many things can set them off. Hair spray, aerosols of almost anything.
