Carpet in the Kitchen (Cottage by Cedar Creek)
Interested in purchasing a Cottage by Cedar Creek (either a 40CCK or 40CFK), but am concerned with having carpet in the kitchen slide-out. I understand that the manufacturer is limited on how to cover the transition from the slide out to the main floor, but having carpet in a kitchen presents a major cleaning problem - especially since it is under the stove and refrigerator. How have others handled this situation? I plan to order the trailer from the factory in January and was wondering if the flooring in the kitchen slide-out could be vinyl, which is the same as the rest of the kitchen area.
While I'm on the topic of carpet, I'm considering having vinyl flooring in the bedroom (instead of carpet). I don't like carpet because it gets dirty, can get wet and form mildew and mold. We plan to use the trailer during the summer months and would use throw rugs in the bedroom.
