Chirping?

I'm new and non technical - well with campers, lol. So forgive my probably basic question.

I went out to the camper tonight to put the clean sheets, towels, etc. out there in preparation for this weekend's trip. All was quiet. I started puttering, and i thought i'd wipe out the fridge - we haven't been out since June and it was a little stale in there. Also thought i'd leave the door open after i wiped down with a mild cleaner.

Went back out a little later with soap refills and something was chirping. First thought was low battery on smoke or co2 detector. Closed the fridge.

Went back out to see if it's still chirping... all quiet again.

I double checked, but yes the propane was off and the battery is unhooked. It's not getting any sort of power.

Where did the sound seem to be coming from?

Both the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors have internal
batteries and both can chirp when their batteries are low.

Mine was making a faint chirping sound, and I tracked the noise down to the power converter. I found the problem was somehow the brake emergency cable on the tongue area had the pin pulled out- causing the brakes to energize, and draw power from the system, and make the sound! Look at that, and you'll probably find the culprit! Randy
