class c or TT

OK guys a little input might help my decision. Wife and I are getting ready to retire and are looking towards seeing america. My question is TT or class c rv. Why I look at a 28 or 30 ft class c or a f250 with a 28 or 30 ft TT they work out about the same financially. It will just be me the wfe and the Harley. The bike goes in the bed or enclosed trailer depending on our decision Just curious on your thoughts and why on your past or present decisions on mode of transport. Thanks, Jim

Toy hauler would give you an enclosed place for the Harley and could be a 5th wheel as well?

I agree on the toy hauler. I loaded motorcycles in the back of pickups before but its not something I would want to do and I'm 28.

Similar Situation

My parents were in the same position. They chose to buy a used C class. It only lasted about a year. They found it very noisy, rough ride and didn't like the fact that they re-level every time they need to run for groceries. In short they traded it in for a new TT last weekend.

We looked at Class C toyhaulers and TT toyhaulers. The trailer won and we have enough room for 2 full dressed Harleys. Keep in mind that you always have the truck if the weather gets bad instead putting on the rain gear and riding the bike.

Class C. I just got a 30 ft TT that is a pain to tow. I'm going to sell it and either get a class C or a 5th wheel.

I will go with a TH FW far more room and storage.

I will seriously suggest a F350 or 3500, for about 900 bucks more.

We went through this a few years back, and I put myself through it ever other year.......LOL ! Truck and trailer so we can use all the bed space, smooth ride, haul bikes, grills, wet stuff and have a vehicle to explore places while we're there?.........or a class C, have access to everything while we're moving and tow our Jeep.

Be careful with the Harley in the bed, that's allot of cargo weight..........and a PITA to load / unload!

We went with a Class C after 2 TTs, 2nd MH. You can get a dolly with a motorcycle carry space as well as the car hauler. Got a 31' used one, needed a few repairs, but far less than a new/newer one, on a E450 chassis. Love it. Yes, it has a somewhat stiff ride, but cruises at 70 with no problems.
