cleaning the outside of your tt

I own a 2012 Windjammer which I purchased new. It is stored in a camper storage lot, that has some trees. I like to keep it clean, there is no access to water at the storage lot. I like a clean camper,.. Any suggestions ? I use the waterless spray cleaner/wax that does a fair job but takes a few hours each time. Most campgrounds prohibit washing campers on site. Just wondering what others do to keep their units clean. The waterless spray does an ok job, but nothing beats a good wash . The mobile washers in my area like to use a power washer which I would prefer not to use.

Use a cover, or at least a tarp to keep the pollen and tree crap off.

We take our motorhome out of her storage lot an can park her in front of our home no more then a week. She will get a shower tomorrow because we are headed up to the Frog rally Lake Glory near Knoebels amusement park in PA her last waxing session in April. Trying a new way to wash and wax just arrived today. Hopefully no more ladders

A power washer is for my house and deck I want to blow off years of grime. I don’t want to blow anything off my coach!

Use a tip with a less powerful spray.

I wash it in my driveway, and touch up with the waterless spray cleaner/wax at the campgrounds.

Our system just arrived yesterday. It’s called wash and wax used by airplane co. Several other coach owners have used it and highly recommended it. We saw one caring for his Jeep with it. Here’s some of the bits.

I found this product with a search on this site. Several people endorsed it so I thought I'd give it a try. It took about 90 minutes to give my trailer a rub down and it worked great everywhere but especially for the windows. Last time out we had lots of rain and no spotting when they dried up.

I endorse it now too.

Cleaning your RV

From a once well known auto painter several years ago, I learned to use a cup of kerosene in a gallon of water. Using a sponge or soft cloth, wipe the surface. It cleans off all road tar and black streaks. Then wipe dry with another soft cloth. This beats everything I have ever tried on cars and RV's. Metal or fiber glass. It will not harm the surface or decals. On my RV, since I've gotten older, instead of climbing a ladder, I now use a brush on an extension pole to apply the liquid. After, I use BULLET POLISH which applies and wipes off like water. Its available over the internet.

If freezing is not a problem. Just store with a full FW tank and use your outside shower to supply water to a gas power washer

Wash Wax All, just did mine yesterday. Try to do it twice a season. Don’t use water, just spray contents on, wipe with micro-fiber towel, then wipe it a second time with a clean micro-fiber towel. Use it on all autos too. Doesn’t last forever, but nothing does.
