Ok so have a Crusader Aluminum wheel that needs to be revisiting with clear, but when I am getting that don't I want to remove the rust from the center caps and lugnuts, does anyone know a good cleaner that can remove rust from chrome plated wheel lugs and caps?

When I was a kid I used to remove the rust from my bike rims with an SOS pad. The rust always came back, but maybe there are finishing products that would stop that from happening (or at least slow it down).

If you do try SOS pads, try a small area first!

Yeah but they scratch the finish on the chrome, may have to use something like orange juice to loosen up the rust without hurting the finish

I use 0000 steel wool on the pipes of my Harley to remove rubber for boot/shoe soles. After I use steel wool, I usually wash and then wax. Chrome has never come off and seems not to make visible scratches.

Local hardware store, or any big box hardware store. I think wal-mart may even have it, not sure though.

I use Rust Remover made by Dominion Sure Seal Ltd. Don't remember where I bought it, it was a long time ago. May need more than one application.

After you remove rust you need to clear coat the parts ASAP.
