Co/Propane Detector

Have a new Rockwood Mini Lite 2304ks. First time boon docking. CO/Propane alarming when battery is on fair. Seems a little sensitive. Is this how it should work? Fair would be better. Any way to silence until running generator?

The CO/Propane detector alarms when the battery gets too low to operate properly. This is usually below the level you want to draw the battery down to so as to prevent damage to the battery. If you plan to do a lot of boondocking, I recommend a second battery. I would not recommend disabling the CO/Propane detector. See battery chart below. It is recommended that you do not draw down battery more than 50% on a regular basis.

I understand how the system works. However, Forest River panel showed battery was "Good" and then went to "Fair" at which point CO alarm started sounding. I have dual batteries. In my opinion the panel is undependable!! I would think the alarm would sound when panel shows "Low". I have a gauge to check battery voltage and will depend on that from now on.
Thanks for your response!
