Combo shrimp?

Hi kids, My name is Dennis and I Have a question for you fine folks. I just sold off my last bus/RV and bought myself a 2001 / 13' forest river "Real Lite" to full time in while I finish building my new "Tiny House" My question is. How much does this "Real Lite" weigh? The thought that immediately comes to mind is that I'm glad I have a F350/7.3 turbo diesel to cart around my "Real Lite" camper

Peace along the way
Dennis the bus dweller ny

Never heard of Real Lite.
Should be a white factory weight sticker on the inside of a cabinet door

Is it made by Palomino? You should be able to "google" it.

FR didn't own Palomino, back in 2001.
It was owned by Vanguard Industries.

I can't imagine you'll have any problem with a 1 ton diesel. If you're getting over 5k or so you probably want to have a weight distribution hitch if anything. If you're in doubt, I would just hit one of the truck stop scales.

There should be a weight sticker on it somewhere...but I have no idea where they put them on a truck camper. Found a listing for a 12' one here: Used 2001 FOREST RIVER Real-Lite 1200 Truck Camper at General RV | Wayland, MI | #112179

Weight is listed as 3,262 lbs...so I suspect yours would be a little more depending on what options it has. Hopefully, your truck has that much payload carrying capacity or more. My F-350 payload capacity is about 3,100 lbs.

Best wishes...

Oh, it's a truck camper!
OP, why didn't you tell us that?
I didn't even know that FR ever made a TC.
The only TC I knew they had, was when they bought out Palomino in 2007.
Right now, Palomino is the only FR division that makes TCs.
