Not in your case, that option is not available for you, per your settings.

But mine is, and others are.

and I see now. Cool feature.

By the way, Mach 2 is not nearly as fast as it used to be for those of us that have become hard of hearing@!!!!

You have to have your settings set to receive email from other users, for this option to be available. Waiter21 does not have his profile set up to receive emails from other members, and thus no other members will be able to send him an email via the option.

EDIT: I see BandJCarm beat me to this.

We just bought a new Forest River trailer, and several people on RV.net suggested coming here.

I sent an e-mail to someone asking for help, and ended up getting some info that sent me around in circles.

Can any one give me some simplified instructions?

Jack L
Instructions:

1) Do a search using the search function with keywords related to your question and/or problem. Don't Email anyone with a particular question as that is not how forums work.

2) Go to the appropriate forum or sub forum and start a thread stating your particular question and/or problem being as specific as possible.

3) Read replies and receive the information requested or proceed to research other areas as pointed to by replies.

4) Say thanks.

Sadly it's looking like a 'One & Done'.

I hope he's just hanging around learning to use the forum. There's a lot of helpful people here if you give them a chance.

"owner's manual" ha! that's a good one. This site is THE source for owner's experiences...the recent published manuals are . . . well, to be polite...less than useless. As one who is re-entering the RV world...I welcome the knowledge this hive provides.

Yes, I couldn't stop laughing the first time I looked at the generic Forest River owners manual.. It wasn't even in color.. I keep a PDF of it just for grin's.. I believe the paper version was used to start a [emoji91].. Your right about this Forum , good folks, good advice.. Not everything for everybody.. But hasn't steered me wrong yet..

This forum is just like many other forums I subscribe to for my classic cars and street rods, for example like Ford Barn for my Ford Model A and the H.A.M.B. for street rods.

The format of this forum is very standard for a majority of the forums out there. Even the Mercedes Benz forum uses the same. They are one of the easiest forums to navigate, made for the computer novice.

Jack L, give this another shot and you will not be disappointed. There are lots of very helpful people here with a world of experience to share. I found this forum after buying my Windjammer and it has...wait...it has cost me a lot of money! I found out I needed to replace the crummy factory tires, upgrade my hitch because the one I had was not strong enough, and replaced several items for ones that worked much better. Cost me money? Yes. Do I feel safer when towing? Absolutely. Having a great time camping? Again, absolutely!
There are so many things that a new RV owner should know, but doesn't; this is the place to find out. The old saying "You don't know what you don't know" is true and sometimes dangerous to you, your family, and others around you. Stick in and you will find the forum is invaluable.
