Control panel problem
The control panel on my Apex 249 RBS spontaneously goes out at unpredictable times, and all the functions controlled by it go down.
This includes all the outside lights, a few indoor lights, the slide and awning. Every thing controlled by a button on that panel. Everything else on the camper continues working normally.
The buttons on the panel light up when turned on, but the lights in the buttons are much dimmer during these incidents.
After a few minutes, everything usually comes back on and all is normal, but tonight it hasn't come back on for a long time.
So we're in camp for two weeks. We can live without the outdoor lights. Can live without the awning, but the slideout will be a problem when it's time to leave. Dealership told is at pdi there is no manual slide override on the 249 (unbelievable).
Any ideas on this, or anyone have contact at Coachmen/Apex I could call? Thanks.

I was having intermittent problems with gauges and switches on my control panel. Was fixed under warranty. Dealer had to go in and fix a mess of bad connections from factory shoved in the wall causing on and off bad connections and intermittent problems.

How do I get mobile rv service under warranty? Can Coach Net arrange it, or do I have to call FR for approval? Anyone have the correct FR number?

My Forest River travel trailer owners manual states that I must contact the dealer first when experiencing any problems

Mobile tech found a wire in the distribution box that had been poorly stripped, so only partial connection was being made. Switch panel was only getting 3 volts. Found another one stripped the same way and fixed it. Problem solved. Dealership will handle warranty claim.
Only question is what other shoddy factory work is going to jump out and bite me?

I'm sorry you had a problem but happy that you found a resolution
Did you get your work through coach net and how did they deal with you and your situation did it seem professional

No, found out there is a tech who is work camper here, and he did it for $75. No charge for service call, so bought him a case of beer. Worked out well for everyone.

That's great
part of the reason I camp is the people and places that I meet and see despite any difficulties in getting there and maintaining the trailer
What's that old adage it's not the destination it's the journey
