converting Booth Dinette into a bed

OK i'm not new to this I have now had 3 units with booth dinettes that drop down into beds. All were easy remove the pedestals drop the table top down slide the cushions in and drop the seat backrest cushoins down flat. Easy stuff well this Wildcat is not so easy. We had a hardtime firguring uot how the cushions get setup as the backrest cushions are wraparound style.

Doing things the way they were done on our last 2 units we initially came up with this.

Then this..

Obviously niether would not work and would be tough getting a bedsheet on so we ended up turning them over and went with this.

Are me and my wife missing something?

At least your cushions are all the same thickness! Can't say that for mine. I'd personally go with option 3 there.

Do the cushions get turned 90 degrees? Does the owners manual show anything?

My problem with my u-shaped dinette was the back cushions was thicker than the seat cushions. My solution was ordering a custom cut cushion that would fill the space.

On second look, you may have already tried turning the cushions.

It looks like the bottoms should slide together in the center, then put the backs on the ends. Jmo.

Try posting in this thread. It is a Wildcat factory rep.

Ask the Wildcat factory...

I had the same problem. Ended up adding 1x2 below the bench frame on the inside for support and just moved the table rails on the benches down about an inch so the table sat lower.

This is just something nobody ever thinks to go over when picking up a new trailer....I mean, how hard can it be to put down seat cushions?

I put up with the uneven cushions last year but this year I moved the support rails down one inch so the table is lower. Like mentioned before, its one of those things you don't look at on the walk through.

I'll post this in the "ask the Wildcat" thread. uneven cushions would drive me crazy as well. Who would ever think this would be an issue?
