corian counter top

After using our new crusader for the first time we found scratches on the corian sink cover. The only thing that sat on the cover was a one gallon plastic water bottle. Does this mean the corian is so easily scratched. If so what have others done to protect it and also to clean it. thank for any advice you can give

Corian is Corian, whether in home or RV, and most folks love it. Yes, it does scratch, but scratches are easily removed with 1500 grit sandpaper and a little polishing compound. Most other hard surface countertops are not easily repaired.

Most likely scratched before you used it and you just hadn't noticed. It does not scratch too easily, but if you drag something across it with an edge, it will scratch. Get used to lifting and setting things back down rather than sliding them across the Corian.

Thanks for the info. We've had the same problem.

Same thing with ours. We're just careful and I'll buff it out if needed later.
