Couldn't stay away.

UGH! I think I'm obsessed! LOL

We sold our trailer. We've been doing some serious consideration of our next camping thing. We have determined it will be approximately six years before we can get another one. If we can hold out that long!

We are now trying to decide between a super-nice fifth wheel or a class A motor home. I vote the 5er, Ken is leading towards the class A.

Any thoughts, opinions, or advice from all you experts would be GREATLY appreciated!

My advice?? You're not going to last 5 or 6 years before you buy another RV. You're already talking about a 5'er or Class A. You're half way to getting another one already.....

Happy trails,

Ya, I don't think it's worth taking that long of a break from camping just so you can save-up for something really, really nice... IMO you're better-off getting something used and/or more affordable. Looking back, I wish we would have started camping earlier. Although finances were tighter, we could have gotten-by with a used popup or hybrid for a couple years vs. the nicer TT we have now.

We have been going though the same decision making concerning which type of RV, and have decided on the 5th wheel.....at least that is our thought this week.

After much discussion this morning, Ken is convinced the motor home is the way to go. He wants to pull a trailer with my car and his motorcycle in it, behind the motor home.

The reason we have given ourselves 6 years is mainly because that will get the boy through college. Then we'll really be free!

There is a lot to research. We have zero experience with a motor home.

Couldn't count how many college grads I know who live at home.
Don't count on being free....

Enjoy while you can. Who knows the future.

Oh he is NOT moving back in with us! He doesn't live with us now and nobody is interested in him living with us again.

Pull the trigger now and tell the college kid to "get a loan" called student loans. That way he's invested in his grades and future earnings potential. Move on the RV now and by the time boy wonder will have graduated you will have your RV that you have using primarily on weekends half paid for and already in position to hit the road! Good Luck!
