Cover pin box for winter?

Should the pin box box be covered for the winter? Need advice first winter with RV. Live in the mountains of western MA. I have a reese revolution pin box

Do you have a plain old painted steel pinbox? If so there's no reason to. If you had an airride with an exposed bag then maybe cover it for UV protection but I never cover mine.

I would put a coat of grease on the pin, but I have never covered any of my pin boxes

Turn the revolution under the front cap and it's protected from the weather. That's all I ever do to mine.
