I carry a folding plastic table with me. It has many uses, including a genny cover for heavy rain. It takes up almost no space when folded flat.

To keep it from blowing over, I just put my Propane bottles on top.

I bought a tarp and rig a good strong cover over mine. Do not let your generator run in the rain. That is a good way to die or kill someone else. 120 volts at 20 amps will stop your heart with one jolt.
