Covering your RV

I have a 31ft C class. I do not have any covered storage close to me.

Has anybody tried big heavy duty tarps and bungi cords to secure???

Just looking for inexpesive methods to reduce the amount of weather & sun in hot S. GA

Thanks

Depends on where you live. I live on a hill where a calm day is only 30 mph winds. I would not use tarps because the exterior finish would look like a scratching post! I use an actual cover from camping world, much more forgiving in the wind. I do add a lot of extra tie downs to keep it tight.
Will you need to get into your rv when it's stored? If not, a lot of people are going with those company's that will come out and shrink wrap it for you.

i live in S.GA/N FL. Im more worried about rain & sun damage. I figured the less water pounding the roof the longer it would last. Are the covers at Camping world waterproof. I wouldnt think a soggy cover would be good for a roof.

I suggest you look at ADCO or Calmark covers instead of a plastic tarp. The upfront expense is higher with a good cover (fitted to the model or custom-made) but it's nothing compared to the expense you'll pay after your tarp damages your class C.

To Cover or Not Cover

RV Covers .... Good or Bad
