Hello folks I am gonna ask probably a dumb question.

The DW and I are semi retired. I'm the retired one ,she's still at it.
The question I have is if anyone out there has ideas or are currently doing stuff from your rv (we are full timers) that brings in some income. As we all want to travel around the great USA I was just wondering if anyone has figured out a way to work while on the road?
I am expecting some harsh answers but I'm just CURIOUS 🌴🌴😳😎

Some people work as campground hosts or have other jobs they do with their RV resorts, such as front desk/reservationist, grounds keepers, escorts, etc. My folks have some friends who work park concessions up in Alaska in the summers that help provide them with income. If you have skills that are transferable to telecommuting, that is another good source of income. Do you have a degree in a field that you can teach in an online program? Medical folks can work as travel or interim providers.

That's exactly my situation. I worked from home before and now I work my 9-to-5 from the road. We sight-see on weekends and some evenings.

I know some people do crafts/vinyl work/sewing/etc. If it's small enough and you can carry it with you, you can likely do it from the camper.

I even camped next to a guy who was a masseuse. At least that's what they told me when I heard my wife's calls of pleasure from his toy hauler's garage....

I met a fellow who converted his toy hauler into a workshop and did rv repairs.

Amazon is looking for help in Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee to work the winter holiday season. They will be starting probably in September and will work until December 23rd. Time and one half for overtime, shift differential, paid campground, bonus if you stay until Dec 23rd. Texas location is booked up. They are taking applications now. Not full timers, but DH is an Internet car sales person and I teach online. A lot can be done on smart phones so we don't even need WiFi 24/7 if we have phone service. As we are east of the Mississippi, Internet is always a short drive away.

hahah.....gives new meaning to term "toy hauler"..

last year we camped next to a guy who had turned the garage of the toy hauler into his work office....it was SLICK...custom desk, shelves, dual monitor computer setup....wall coverings, flooring ....the works!!

was in tech sales....software...

but to answer your question, my inlaws work for enterprise car rentals.....they are technically retired, but enterprise if real flexible....basically they just pick up cars and deliver them.


enterprise is pretty much everywhere, so they can work from wherever they are calling home at the time....


they call em in the morning and ask if they wanna work.....they can or don't have to....good gig for them
