Current mileage on your diesel TV

I just got a 2013 with the 6.7. Heard too many bad things about the 6.0,6.4s. The 6.7 is a beast and pulls stronger than my old 7.3 did. Its a world of difference between the diesel and a gasser. My 2013 has the 8' bed. Makes life easier with my 5er. Has about 16k miles.

2004 f350 with just over 93,000 miles. It has the 6.0 I keep up with all the maintenance.

126,000 miles, and 2918 hours on the 6.0. The only issue I have had is replaced the FICM last month. Stock everything with the exception of the 4" exhaust system. EOT and ECT deltas are still good

I have 178k on my 05 f250. I get about 19 mpg highway and 16 mixed driving. Towing around 10.5-11 mpg

My wife's Excursion has 165k. It's an 04 and 4x4. It gets 17 highway and 14 mixed city/hwy driving. Towing also 10-11 mpg.

Both have 6.0s and both are pretty much stock

I love my 6.0L. I did some deep engine work when I first got it, to the amount of $3,500. I have 138k on the clock and can pull circles around a 7.3. It's the last of the Ford line that a home owner can actually work on. I can't see taking a second mortgage to buy a new diesel.

We just got back home from a short 3 day trip and I don't think my F350 7.3L can haul my new 41' 16,000 lb. 5er. There were quiet a few steep hills and one of them had me down to 20mph. Would a gas engine do better?

Do better?
I doubt it, when was the last time you had the ol' camel in for a tune up and service?

To long I guess. I think the sending unit strainer are getting stopped up in the fuel tank. Guess I'll pull the tank and clean them. Sorry for the high Jack.

at 250/505 almost any newer gas eng would, but I do love the 7.3 for reliability, buddy put 550k and father inlaw put 275k, both pulled almost the trucks entire life. Night and day power, towing with anything after 2005 model year for all 3 manufactures
