Forgot to watch for this event this year. After reading this today I contacted a buddy and we will both check it out when they open at 10AM. We are not shopping, just have wives that sleep late...
Nice "good to know" note about the local CW. I am not a fan of the one here nearby. I know folks that can share bad service stories since they opened.

My favorite trailer at the RV Show was this restroom trailer built by Forest River. Unlike a Johnny-on-the-spot this trailer had running water and was air-conditioned.

They used two trailers like that when they renovated the Commissary a few years back. Worth every penny.

Although I can see the police have a tough job, here in RI we've had a looong history of public employees gaming the system. That includes fire dept too.
In many cases retirees make more then they did working after only a few years retired. They get promoted just before retiring to puff up the pay out. And the worst is faking disability some after only a few years employed. A mayor of Providence once said publicly that many an officer took the back stairs retirement plan by falling down them and getting disability retirement early. BTW, when they get disability they get it tax free plus all the yearly COLA increases.
There are so many other problems mostly because the union owns politicians. Take the policeman's bill of rights for example. If they have complaints or charges against them they cannot be interogated until the cop says they are prepared meaning their lawyer (paid for by the taxpayer) has all the information the interogators have. Not to mention the accused knows who the accuser is, where they live and work, what they are claiming, and plenty of time to reach out and touch their accuser before the interrogation. How many of us have those rights?! Then there's nepotism in hiring where you'll find so many police/fire have the same names because so many are directly related. I could go on and on.
Problem is RI is such a small state allowing all kinds of abuses by a small group of people people. So police and fire is just the beginning.
