Dealership warranty help

I wanted to get some feedback on here as to what I should do:

We took our camper into the dealership for some warranty work on July 6th it is still at the dealership it is now a month. It went in for some minor things I figure are to be expected for a new unit( 832FLBS) they are telling me they are still waiting on a bedroom window it would not stay open. And a bedroom door. I don't want to be a nagging customer.Would it be beneficial to contact forest river? Or should I just keep waiting? Thanks for any feedback.

Yes contact FR.
I'll bet that your dealer hasn't even sent a parts request.
Happens all the time and to me also.
Dealer tells customers that the RV manufacturer hasn't sent the part, only to find that hadn't requested it yet.
It deflects customer anger away from them.

By the way, you can use an independent RV shop or mobile RV tech, instead of the dealer. You need to get pre-approval from FR and be willing to be reimbursed.

Absolutely contact FR. My unit went to the dealer for what I thought would be a minor repair on June 19th. Turns out my repair is not so minor and is structural in nature. I have been on the phone back and forth with FR and the dealer shop almost every day. Solution for the repair still has not been decided on but the dealer can't put the blame on FR when you get the info from FR on what has been submitted. As the saying goes "squeaky wheel gets the grease."

I don't understand what the benefit is on the dealers end not to get the parts ordered and the job done?

The dealers are very busy doing work that pays more. Warranty work pays little to nothing.

It's probably a delaying tactic.
Most dealers are overwhelmed with the amount of units they're selling.
Plus they don't have enough techs.
It's also laziness.
Sounds like you're new to RVs. Because these practices have been around for years.

Contact

Contact Forest Rivers and they can tell you if anything is ordered for your unit. I had to do this.

Once you confirm parts are on the way then schedule a day to bring the camper back and go get it and have fun. Bring it back after your trip and have the parts replaced and head back out. Unless the broken stuff impacts use then get out and enjoy it.

We had a leaking hydraulic ram and worked with the dealer to get the part ordered and then we took our 10 day trip. It will go back once the part is in and get fixed.

As others said, confirm with FR the warranty claim has been made.

I would visit the dealer and pick my camper up. When the parts come in call me and I’ll set up a appointment to get the work done

This is a timely topic. I call my dealer to get an appointment 10 weeks before the warranty expires in October.

The next opening is one day before the warranty expires.
