Delayed Delivery

Is anyone out there who has placed an order for a Forest River/ Rockwood product this year who has experienced delivery delays?

I ordered a V nose TT on February 26 and still have not been provided a firm delivery date. I ordered from an on line service/ dealer. I am supposed to pick up the trailer in Des Moines but am still on hold. The last excuse was that the combo wood I ordered was out of stock. Everything is being blamed on Forest River.

We ordered rig below in late Feb from local dealer and took delivery 7 weeks later. Sorry to hear you are waiting so long.

Sorry, too, to hear about that long of a delay. This is the busy season of course, but yours seems especially long. There's a long thread in the Roo sub forum with similar stories and a few others in other subforums. I think Vcross has an active thread.Good luck and I hope it gets to you soon.

Delayed Delivery

The salesperson originially told me that there was a chance for delivery in early April. I would like to know the truth behind why we went from April to June. Now I really don't expect this to happen until July. I can sympathize that this is th busy season but RV Direct must be FR's very very last priority.

Yes, I have tried to contact FR customer service and never got an answer or return call. I have heard they are next to impossible to reach so I gave up. Unfortunately the contract I signed with RV Direct holds them harmless for production and delivery delays so I somewhat at their mercy. They blame FR and FR is not there to answer so I continue to wait. I did get a 13 instead of a 12 but I would rather be RVing now.

I wouldn't blame this delay on FR unless you have actual proof of what date RV Direct actually submitted the order. Ask RV Direct to set up a 3 way phone call between the parties and find out. I bet RV Direct messed this up.

I agree and believe it is too easy for them to pass the buck to FR. I'll bet they are so busy the paperwork set on someone's desk for a long time before placing the order. Time to call FR and get the facts. All I know is that my patience is running thin....
