Delivery Time?

Hello Everyone:

My wife and I ordered a 2013 Windjammer 3006w on April 5th. Our local dealer told us to expect a 4-6 week delivery time. Ten weeks have passed and we don't know when to expect our camper. We live in Wyoming and are finally getting decent camping weather. Needless to say, we are anxious to receive our camper. Our local dealer has already loaned us a used camper to use and has always returned our phone calls, I imagine they are frustrated too.

My questions are: (1) what is a typical delivery time; and (2) Does anyone have contact information for Forest River RV? I would like to call someone and see when we can expect our trailer.

Thank you for your responses and help.

Aaron

So far pretty consistently running 9-11 weeks from order to "off line".
Then delivery from a few days to 3 weeks.

We ordered our Windjammer on March 30th and were told to expect an 8 to 9 week wait. The timing at the factory for running our model was favorable and it was on the dealer's lot by the 6-week anniversary of placing our order. After dealer prep, it was delivered May 18, just 7 weeks after ordering. Some things obviously fell into place for that to happen. Sounds like your dealer may have raised your expectations with an unreasonably optimistic estimate at the beginning.

We ordered our rig in signature below in late Feb and we did our PDI 7 weeks later. Sounds like you have a great dealer who is loaning you a camper, very rare. They could call FR and find our when it's scheduled to be built or what stage of production it's in if it's on the line now. When ours came off-line our dealer called to inform us of the VIN #. Here's hoping you get it soon.

The good part about the loaner is that you get to practice on it first.

The timeline your dealer gave might be during ideal conditions and not during peak season. Hopefully you will be out camping in your new trailer soon.

Our RV is completely assembled at Factory, with the exception of one storage compartment door, they were out, was to be there by today, but had not arrived as of this AM....Our dealer is trying to get picked up this week if door gets put on and to us at least by next Tuesday which will be 12 weeks from time ordered.

Thank you to everyone for the responses.

My wife was just told by our dealer that our trailer shipped on the 18th. Today is the 26th. Guess what, it hasn't arrived. Why would it take 8 days or more to ship a trialer 1200 miles?

We ordered ours on May 22 and got the confirmation a day later. We were told 8-10 weeks out. We were given an offline date of July 10th. Checked yesterday to make sure it hasn't changed and we are still set for July 10th. 14 days and counting!!! Now how long it will take to be delivered to the dealer I don't know. DS is transfering college's and have to make a trip for that on the 13th, so I'm hoping soon after we can schedule our PDI. Really hoping that we get it before we go on vacation last of July/first of Aug. Knowing my luck we will get it 2 days before we leave and so while we are on vacation all I will think about it is wanting to come home and get packed. Lol Life is so cruel sometimes!

Great News!! Spoke with Brett from Forest River today and our camper came offline TODAY and was completed and released to a carrier for shipment. Much sooner than what we had anticipated and expected.
Bad news for all of those waiting for thiers to be built. He also informed me that a lot of the plants shut down completely next week for the whole week for vacation as all the employees take them all at the same time. However they did get a lot of them completed today.
Also the delivery drivers could be about 2 weeks out but he did tell us that since they are closed next week and no new RV's will be released that it could be delivered much sooner.

Ordered Date 5/22/12 Offline and released TODAY!!! 6/29/12
Only 5 1/2 weeks and was told 8-10 weeks...... Pretty darn good!!!
