Departing Topsail in am....

Our first real rv vacation ends tomorrow. Kids were crying tonight. Oldest swam without the assistance of a life jacket this week. Cooked up some amazing seafood, drank a lot of booze and got in a ton of beach/pool time. So happy we did this and while we were floating In the pool today we made our plans to come back. While our rv is not as luxurious as some it was home for the last 10 days and everyone had what can be described as a beach house/home base as no other could have provided. Sad to be leaving in the am. Lots of memories made over the last week...

Us adults had a good time too at Topsail last February. One of the few state parks that had full hook-ups and concrete pads. We hope to go back.

The Topsail I was referring to is east of Destin, Florida off of Hwy 98. Haven't been to Topsail Beach in NC, but looks good.

Yep in Florida....if you can go do it for the beach alone. The campground is just a bonus. Took a drive down to destin on Thursday......yuck. Friday early evening I counted 11 people including us on the 3 mile stretch.

Topsail

I love Topsail and have reservations for 2 wks next Spring. Where can you get a nice site, full hook ups, wifi, cable, a tram to the beach and outdoor concerts on Thursday nights for that price - even if it is higher than most State Parks. No one can drive to the beautiful beach (bicycles and tram only) so it is never crowded. For the shoppers among us, there is a great outlet mall just west of there close to Destin. My Christmas shopping is done.

We too love Topsail and want to return next winter. Maybe rent one of their cabins for a family holiday reunion. There is another, state park that is worth visiting just east of Topsail north of 98, which is Eden Garden State Park. Lots of history and beautiful gardens on Choctawhatchee Bay. Locals say the fishing there is great!

Yes, northwestern in the panhandle. Some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Camped their last winter from Apalachicola to Ft Pickens near Pensacola.
