Detector

I have a 2015 coachman pursuit 27 KB. The co/gas detector has gone off in the middle of the night for reason. Nothing on. Do they need to be changed every couple of years?

Is it going off loudly or just short chirps. If short chirps it's low battery.

They should be changed every 5-7 years from the date of manufacture.

There is a possibility that, if you have a dog, his nighttime gas expulsions could set off the detector. The detectors are usually mounted low on the wall and they measure gas emissions, regardless of the source.

Mine failed after 3 years. Kept slowly chirping and flashing the code for “replace me”. We have the combo CO/LP detector.
