The hardest part of following a diabetic diet for us on the road is timing. You have to eat on schedule and that's hard while traveling and camping. Three small meals and snacks three times a day are better than three regular meals.

The best part of eating out while rving is the ability to eat only a portion of the meal and taking 'leftovers' for lunch.

Read labels and watch the carbs.... they hide in unexpected places....even 'diet' products. Also, watch the carbs per portion size. Portion size is key.

And don't stress about meals. Stress is not good for diabetics and those of us who love them.
