Never noticed a lack of diesel availability ANYWHERE in the US.

Though we are "blue highways" folks......the best place to find a variety of sources is where two interstates cross.

Use my GS black card at Pilot/FlyJ along with PenFed card and I am about 15 cents per gallon under pump price.

Talking to anyone.

I am having to get in line with the big boys to get diesel. I don't fit anywhere else. Most of those pumps don't allow 'normal' credit card usage for pay at the pump. Most allow these kind of trucker cards.

I know nothing about them. I'm trying to figure out how to stop going in to give credit card, going back out to pump, etc....... thought this might work.

Truck Cards

I have Pilot Card through the Good Sam club. Get discount at Pilot and works great at the pump. Just have to pay off every month. Pilot doesn't let you carry a balance. The card works at both the truck car pumps. Good Sam members can get card at the Pilot web site.

Here in South Louisiana the small "Stop And Rob" stations don't have diesel but almost all the the larger stations do.

When you get really rural, like a community that consists of a few houses, a church and a country store, the country store has diesel too.

We've got plenty of diesel. We even have electricity and most stations have indoor plumbing.

Cute

But his question does aptly show the misconceptions of the Rural Southern US as portrayed by the mainstream Media. And that does not endear the media to us southerners!

In Georgia if you get away from the interstates and in agricultural areas you will find two different flavors of diesel. There's road diesel and agricultural diesel. They are taxed differently. The pumps are usually clearly marked and the color of the the fuel is different. You don't want to get caught with agg diesel in your tanks. Big time fines. That's the reason for the different colors.
