We are in Portugal for 2 months, Diesel is $7.52 US Gallon right now.

Here in Little Portugal (Fall River MA) , it is $4.07 a gal. Up 0.18 in a week or so.

In most places in the northern tier states, ULS Diesel has a summer and winter blend as well. Winter blend has anti-gel additives and #1 Diesel added to the blend so it flows better in the engine. I understand summer Blend has anti-algae additives and stuff to keep water in suspension.

You can burn Winter Blend in the summer, but the reverse is not true when the temps get below freezing.

Around my parts, you have dozens of companies to choose from to get oil delivered.... And they are busy

every year about this time i start seeing the "price of diesel"posts on various websites.

when it's cold more heating oil used and since it is very close to the specs of diesel diesel prices go up.

since 2007 when new emissions laws went into effect-diesel has not been the bargain versus gasoline it used to be.

$1000 for 2 months of heat? You need to get rid of that system.
