Virginia is the only state I've heard of testing ALL diesels. Cars, trucks, commercial or not.

So I topped off 88 gallons the other day in Sevier Co. TN @ a Walmart fuel stop for $2.54 a gallon.
Doing some quick math the money saved compared to filling up at home worked out to 16 gallons of fuel! Anyone needing diesel around Pigeon Forge the station is on 411 Dolly Parton Pkwy & Industrial Park Rd.

My wife just filled up her VW TDI at $2.59 a gallon this is up $0.04 cents from two weeks ago. But diesel in our area is still below regular gas at some station between $0.02 and $0.04 a gallon.

Run a drag tank in a 4X4 pulling a camping with a little over size tires. I can usually spot an oil field hand from a traveler. A couple of quarts of ATF in the tank will change their stick. It’s the same fuel but it seems like trucks run better on red. Guess like moonshine too. We get green fuel for free so no need to worry about having red in the tank. I have personally seen the red dye shot in the green fuel or clear depending on how north you are. If you don’t dye the fuel to document it is just more paperwork to have the on road fuel dropped to off road prices. I know a couple of companies that their machinery have never had a drop of red fuel in them. Mostly on electric side of work but it would surprise you to know a lot of the machines you drive by or see have green fuel. It did me anyway.
