When I was on I-80 heading to CA from FL I would stop at a Walmart in Rawlins, WY for a fill up because the diesel there was usually under $2.00, mainly because a Sinclair Refinery was just east of town. Just checked the price there and it is $3.05 !

Murphy at Walmart here in Central Fla is $2.84

The Diesel at the Walmart in Brooksville FL is that 20% Bio stuff, about the same price. I stay clear of the 20% stuff, just me. Other than that 2.89 to 3.05 off I-75 is typical. I have been using Shell lately (auto pump), with no bio labeling in sight. Starting to use Walmart's DIF.

2.89 here in Illinois. I hope it drops a little when it goes back to the summer blend.

Maybe not the place, but two "diesel" pet peeves.

One is Flying J and Pilot charging a premium to use your credit card ONLY for diesel, and not for gasoline. This should be a capital felony offense. It's absurd.

Two is places that won't let you get but $75.00 or $100.00 or whatever limit. THEN they have the audacity to post some absurd statement that the blame, should that occur, belongs to my credit card company but not them! Yeah, RIGHT! Then why is my same credit card company so different at every location........some are unlimited, some $75.00, some $95.00, some $100.00, etc? With 75 gallons of fuel tank, it's a chore to actually "Fill" up...........

I just stick my card in twice , I don’t usually burn more than 50 gallons a day. I will buy the cheapest diesel I can, I stay away from Bio diesel.

I use to do that every time when I filled up in 2010 thru 2013, when diesel was between $3.24 to $4.20 a gallon for those years. I would put in between 30 to 31 gallons at a time. Fuel prices were up until approximately Jan 2015 and than they started down again below $3.00 a gallon. We would have to budget around $1500 a year just for fuel for the camping trips we did.

I had to contact my fuel credit card service and have the limit raised for one time purchases on fuel to $150. But some station still limited the pump to $75 pay out, than you had to reinsert your credit card and start over as a new purchaser of fuel. What a pain that was!

Don’t complain till you come visit us in the Great White North. With current exchange rates you will be paying about $3.75US a gallon in southern Ontario.

Problem is most times you don't have a clue if you're getting bio diesel or not. Pump will say..."May contain up to x% bio diesel", but you don't know. The attendants look at you like you are from Mars if you ask them, they haven't got a clue. Had a bulk fuel guy in ND tell me once while he was filling tanks at a stn that in ND even thought he pumps say may contain X%, that in fact they contain no bio at all in ND. It's just that the stickers are standard for all stations. So as I say...the challenge is knowing what the heck you are buying.

Since the price for a barrel is going up, so are all the products made from it.

It is just business as usual. When the stock market goes up, so does the cost of a barrel of oil. Its been this way forever. Nothing new.
