Does anyone use a Disconect switch for batterys, to keep battery from running down in storage? If so what type do you use?

YOU HAVE to use battery disconnect switch while in storage or battery will definitely go dead.
There are parasitic draws.
I got mine from battery doctor.

My trailer came with one installed in the basement.
It looks like this one but I am not sure what brand I have.

I would pull off the negative cable, put electrical tape around it and leave it in battery box.

My battery was a hassle to get to in my fifth wheel - I had to move stuff to raise a floor panel in a storage hatch.
I ordered a random one from eBay:

Storage
Since out 5'er stays outside, we cover it with an ADCO Cover and leave 110V hooked up all winter/summer when parked on its lot at Talking Rock Creek RV Resort:

I ran 6 gauge from battery #2 negative into frontal storage area and as stated above picked random from amazon then sent negative back out to same ground location.

there are literally hundreds of posts here, about battery disconnect switches. you could have enough reading for a few weeks if you want more info and suggestions.

I have this same battery disconnect in my FR Toy Hauler (Stealth). I never could get it to work, so one day I decided to do some investigating. I pulled out test light, looked behind walls, pulled drawers and finally looked behind the electrical panel. Aaaahhhhh, It never was hooked up. I bought the trailer new from a dealer 3 and 1/2 hours away. I had to take care of it myself.

You need a disconnect to keep the "Ghost Power" from killing your battery.Mount it 1st thing off the battery and keep it under shelter if possible although most are weatherproof.Got mine at Camping world $30.You won't regret it.
