X2. We travel all over the country and have never stayed in a motel. There are many options for free overnight parking. Walmart, Sam's Clubs, Costco, Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, Cracker Barrel and many others. There are many free Android and iOS apps that will list nearby free overnighting. We always call in advance and get permission to park. We prefer 24 hour Super Walmarts because of the 24 hour lights and security.

We have stayed at several hotels with are large dogs. I just call and ask. I am sure to ask about weight limits. Most hotels don't have limits or they say 50 pounds but no one checks. So our 100 pound golden is just all hair at those places! Back doors work well too, just saying.

Find a Walmart ask permission they usually let you stay over and camp all the way we do it from Canada to Texas every year. You have to watch Arkansas they have started putting up barricades at entrances and most super stores have security all night.

The OP isn't looking for advice about overnight camping, he is asking about hotels that accept dogs because he has winterized his trailer during cold weather and wants to stay inside.
