Yes and I keep them open after blowing the

my main concern is the pump and toilet. I broke a toilet valve once on a rewinterization, that was a $50 mistake.

Yep... so did I (mine didn't cost that much). RV parts counter person said it only took 1 tablespoon of water in a toilet valve to burst it if it froze.

When I blew the toilet valve out you could definitely hear it was all air. I used a Camco brass fitting attached to my air hose and set the compressor at 40lbs, a lot easier than using an air chuck plastic blow out tool, that is where I ran into trouble last time, the DW did not understand the process. That was in Feb one year, we came back from South Carolina and it was snowing, and got into the low teens, I am sure that is when it happened.

If we want to camp this winter it is easy to dewinterize and winterize again. We can get into the teens here but usually warm up above freezing during the day. I have been known to turn on the electric fireplace/heater just to keep the inside above freezing.

Only the kitchen faucet or did you run pink to all other places as well?

I blew the other lines out with compressed air at 40 psi, the pink is there to protect the pump. Just an fyi pink can be run through the system and then blown out, it will displace water. Many people with boats get rid of the pink because it can become slushy at vey low temps and can still crack engine blocks.

The only way to have no water in your lines is to blow them out with a compressor,,, and 30 to 40 PSI !!!
If you search Winterizing you will find many many pages !!!
I am guessing your unit should have already been winterized !!!

Not 100% accurate. Blowing the lines wont empty the the water pump or the lines directly connected to it.

You're right,,, that is why I run about a gallon & and half of RV antifreeze thru the sys after I blow it out,,, and pour the rest on the drains & Porta Potta !!!
