It might be nice, but chatting isn't my thing really.

We used to have one on the photography forum I help administer but due to lack of interest we shut it down to the general membership and use it for moderator discussions when needed.

I vote NO.
IMHO, I don't think they're of any benefit here.

Well It is 6-1 and the votes dont make it worth the time right now. So we will forget this until someone ask for it.
Thanks for the support, Mike

We might install it this weekend and just see what happens.
It dont take long to set up and pulls from the site database so no hard work.

Members: 269, Active Members: 99

doesn't look like a whole lot of intrest
but then again for those that voted yes..... they may use it
How's that for flip-floppin? Maybe I should go into politics?!?!?!?

A chat room in a camping type of forum can be fun...but I never found it to be of much use.
Usually, you get the same people hanging out in there...and it gets hard to exchange info about anything. It's like a room full of people all talking at the same time.
I think it can be an asset to 'live chat' in certain circumstances, however.
If the poll were still open...I'd probably vote yes...just for that extra option/availability.
