I've got OC's six on this one. I've been here a year now and I've never seen OC be rude to anyone on this forum.
He's plain spoken (so am I) and gets to the point with the least amount of keystrokes (unlike me) and I like that about him. IMO he's one of the best assets this forum has. He'll stand on his cyber head to help *anyone* here. AND, his knowledge about RVs is endless.

I have a dull sense of humour sometimes. I was running on steam at the time we texted. I apologize. I found some good advice in here, note taken

In dealing with ERs over the years our observation is the Ambulance the patient will get seen much quicker than someone that just walks in...... even with the same injuries. & if a second ambulance comes in they too will get seen over the same 1st walk-in......
Back to the original question we just about always unhook unless it is just overnight & a level site.

Funny I see this thread and thought about it, I have never seen somebody stay hooked up over night, it is also possible that since we have only stayed in state and COE campgrounds that we would not as most people here are in it for at least a weekend. Funny thing is, directly across from us is a Crusader FW still hooked up...

X2 OC - never disconnect if it is a overnighter and do not need to make a run downtown. Camped for 2+ days? Disconnect

I've never really thought about it other than considering it for a quick overnight stay. Haven't actually stayed hooked up yet, though. We typically stay at larger state parks and do a lot of hiking and whatnot. We don't carry bikes with us at this point and walking the entire park to get to the other side isn't very appealing to us most of the time. We'll normally drive to another part of the park and then take off into the trails from there. This requires a vehicle, so we always unhitch....that, and I've found very few sites level enough for me to want to try it.

No Worries TimandDebbie But I am with Wheezer and have OC's six as well
OC is just about the most knowledgeable person on the forum. If he hasn't built it for a RV it's not needed
And he shoots from the hip...after all his handle is Old COOT
Rude, Never!

I let our schedule dictate if I un-hitch or not. Sometimes if were running late , and it's dark and were just staying the night I leave it hooked up. I've done that a handful of times and it works just fine.

Do you disconnect when setup at the CG?
Since I'm a bit of a rookie I am on a learning curve here. I have learned lots and got good advice. As far as hook or unhook I will play that card when it comes.

X3! I vote for "just lazy"! Fiver next to me spent entire memorial weekend hooked. Tv stuck way out into walking area...not to mention spoiling my view. Unhitch!

their have been times I got in late and just went to bed, then left the next day, never to unhook, or unhook after coffee and breakfast.. I can level with air bags if needed... most people are just rude coming in at 10, 11 or midnight and making all kind of racket setting up then going straight to bed,

I will usually Disconnect Most of the time. Once I hooked back up when we were on the coast because of strong winds were shaking the trailer all night hooking the truck back up stopped most of the shaking but windy all night and all the next day so we left and went more south where there was less.
