do you think my insurance would cover this??
A couple weeks ago, while pulling my trailer out of storage, I didn't swing wide enough and clipped a metal fence post. I ripped the awning and brackets clean off, and cracked the middle window.
I have a decent insurance policy with Progressive. Do you guys think this would be a covered repair? $250 deductible is better than a $1000 awning. I'm not even totally sure what category this would fall under in the policy.
Thanks for any advice you can send my way!

Yes, they should cover it. Prepare for insurance to go up, obviously.

Insurance companies - got to love 'em...don't we?
I had a space that was VERY tight to get into and out of when we first got our 35' TT. In an effort to make as few reversing moves as possible I swung out hard and the back of my TT clipped the front of a Class A in the next stall . I was good and went to the office and had them contact the owner and then called my insurance company. The damage was a wiper motor shaft on this 2002 Alpha and a small scuff on the front that could be buffed out. The insurance cheerfully repaired it and raised my rates by 28%! I fixed the damage to the trim on my trailer myself, that is how "bad" the accident was; bent trim and wiper motor shaft. I figure I will have the wiper paid off in about 1 1/2 years at this rate. Can't live with them, can't live without them!

I'm sure it'll be covered. You'll want to have your camper inspected to make sure you didn't cause more damage than you can see. Tearing an awning off is a lot of stress on the sidewall and you'll want to make sure you've not caused inadvertent damage to the box/structure, loosened the channel holding the roof membrane (if it's a fold-over install for instance), etc.

As long as you have a separate trailer policy with collision insurance it should be covered. The policy covering the truck will not cover damage you cause to the trailer. If the trailer did damage to what ever you hit your truck's liability insurance would cover fixing that property.

Drag it up to the Goshen rally this summer and let the factory fix it. I did the same thing to my CC. I was going to repair it, since I did it. The factory said no no we want you to be happy. They put on a new lower panel, fender skirt, etc. Repainted and told me to have a nice day. CC is the best. (Forest River)

She just did it to get out of towing. Now she can sit back and relax.

You guys do realize they are smarter than us, right? My DW always has trouble doing something she really didn't want to do. So...in frustration I end up doing it. Have fun doing all the driving guys!
