Got a truck camper, parked next to the house all loaded up. Takes an hour or less. As others here, we do the laundry after the trip and everything is ready to go. pack up the bags, put the stuff in the frig and away we go.. No dog and the cockatiel stays home.

we plan ahead, we are making camping trip plans for Dec now. things to bring, buy, get rid of, etc.. make check list and as you mark them out, your list should be empty before its time to go and we didn't have to make a mad dash at the last minute.

Doesn't matter how well we've planned and prepared, DW is always grabbing armloads of extra stuff on the way out the door, most of which never gets used.

Indybp That sounds like me also,, I am afraid we will not have enough so I go into overload and grab the whole house and try to stuff it into the camper!

Part of the fun of camping is improvising. I'm betting you could leave a lot of " neccesities" at home and never really miss them.
