Does my Flagstaff 625D pop-up need state inspection ?

I live in PA and have a 625D pop-up camper.

I was told by someone that since it is a single axle it doesn't need to have state inspection.

Recently I was told that since it has electric brakes it DOES need to be inspected.

Does anyone know for sure what the requirement is that determines if a trailer need PA state inspection or not ?

I've had it for 2 years and never got it inspected yet. Maybe I just got lucky.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Bean

We are from PA too and used to own a popup. I was told by my tag and title person that as long as the camper weighed under 3500 lbs that it did not need an inspection. We never had ours inspected and it had electric brakes. Seems like PA is always changing things up so it wouldn't hurt to call a tag and title place. Good luck!

You don't state you max gross weight of your trailer and I don't know what it is. But you may want to review the following link it appears 3000 lbs max gross weight maybe the magic number. This is from the horses mouth.

Crap, mine is 3,292 lb GVWR. I hope I don't get a ticket until I can get it inspected.
