Dometic Genesis Air Filtration

Does anybody have/use the Dometic Genesis air filtration system? (part number 3308120.504) what are your opinions, does it filter more dust/allergens than the standard foam filter, is it worth the money?

any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

We have one on our main AC/heat in the kitchen. Not sure if it really does better, but the filter is much easier to remove and clean. That in itself is a big plus, in my book enough for the few bucks it cost. Plus it was not hard to install either. The other unit in the bedroom is not tied into the duct system so we could not put one on it. I would if I could though, been looking at doing something so I can.

Hope this helps God bless,
Mike

I had a furnace guy respond to a post regarding furnace filters. He said that he does not understand why they install furnaces and put no air filtration system on them. Most camper unit require about a small square inch area to allow to return to the furnace. My cover plate was at least 4 times the size required. I built and installed a filter and it can't do anything but help the air quality and the furnace.

Well here it is, took about an hour to install but would have been less had I not used the included instructions which were extremely vague and confusing. I finally gave up and just started putting it together and all went without a hitch. It needs a few minor tweaks to make it sit perfectly level against the ceiling, I will take care of soon as I also ordered the optional heat strip and plan to install it asap.

I'll let ya know what I think about its filtering capabilities at that time also!
