Talking Done Gone and Bought an 'SOB'!

We have absolutely love the Wildwood x-lite 231 over the past couple of years but my DH's job may take him away from home for a month at a time and so we wanted something a little more live-able so I can go along with him since my job can be done remotely. We didn't want to buy new because 1) that doesn't guarantee a problem-free experience and 2) we didn't want to pay a 'brand new' price

I'm amazed how badly trailers are cared for or rather how they're not cared for. To each their own and how they want to live but it definitely made the search challenging, lol!

Finally found our next 'home away from home' - a 2011 Carriage Cabo 341. Evidently we own one out of three in existence - not sure if that's a good thing or not but she sure is a beauty! She looks practically new and acts it too! We have already had our shakedown trip and she has 5 new tires since she was still wearing the original tires (dated 2010) - they looked great but we all know that don't mean a thing

We had a very thorough PDI and she was tested out with plenty of rain too and passed with flying colors. We know that we will need to replace the seal around the slides before too long, but otherwise everything is in fantastic shape - I don't think she saw much action or she was extremely well cared for. Either way, I'm happy to own her now

I still plan on visiting this forum as it is a wonderful resource of information with very helpful participants. Thanks so much for all you do!

Here's a picture of our new baby - my DH calls her 'The Beast', lol! I told him that not a very nice name for a lady like her

You should get some Wildwood or Sabre graphics installed over the Cabo logo, continue to attend Forest River events then drive people nuts trying to figure it out.

Good idea on the rubber exchange, we just changed out our 2012 Westlake tires that performed flawlessly. Upgraded to 10 ply 16 inch from 8 PR 15's.

It does indeed look like a Beast, congrats on the find.

Haha! I have a feeling they'd figure me out but knowing them, so long as I have a kindred spirit and some frog juice to share, they'd let me join in, at least for spell

I'm certainly hoping that turns out to be true with this 'old' girl - hoping she has good bones Our next outing will be a two week long road trip to visit family in Wisconsin so we will certainly get a better feel for her condition then. Of course, things can/will always come up (so I've been told), just not wanting those things to be any major things

Thanks so much for the well wishes

LOL! My DH has already set up the name in the truck as 'The Beast' but I'll probably call her 'Beauty', thus she'll be 'Beauty and The Beast' and if anyone thinks we're referring to ourselves then that will just add to the humor

Thanks for the well wishes!

FR is making RiverStone in a old Carriage Plant so this may very well be the genes of a FR product. I would order up some RiverStone graphics!!
