Drivers license requirements

What DL indorsements would you need in California compared to other states to drive a 43' tag with 22' trailer GVW of 10k pounds? Total GVCW of 52k lbs. I currently have a Class A in CA. but wife does not. Curious on what she may need to do or not if out of CA. Thanks for input.

Suggest you call CADOT and get the straight dope on it. There may be someone here with info, but at least from CADOT it will be either correct, or - you will atleast have the persons name and contact number if/when you get stopped by CHiPS.

As long as you are legal in your state there will not be a problem passing through. ........

and therein lies the problem. She would need to be legal in CA before she would be legal anywhere else.
