While it did not effect my trans temps at all, my nose mounted bike rack did drop my MPG a full mile per gallon.

Once you have been around here for a while you will find my posts to be a lot like the "For Dummies" series of books. There will be a "short version" for those who just want "the answer" and a longer version for those who want to know how I got there.

Just take what you need; and leave the rest.

Look how much fuel you'll save biking to the party store from the campground and even avoiding a DWI citation.

Any tips or advice to help with driving into strong winds?

We stayed at Atlanta Spring Break 2012 and liked it a lot. We were actually at Lake O' the Pines over Thanksgiving and came home through that same brutal wind. I've got a ProPride 3P and had zero sway, but the wind was stout enough to force the entire rig around some like you'd experience with a 5er. I would have HATED towing through that wind with a friction type setup, even my old 4 point Equalizer, which is about as good as friction types get. My last trip with my Equalizer was in similar conditions and I was worn out after a 2.5 hour trip. I've traveled 10 hour days with my 3P and felt better. I didn't calculate mileage, but I know from looking at my gauge that I used significantly more fuel coming home than I did going when there was no wind.
