First YOU MUST HAVE WATER IN THE WATER HEATER BEFORE YOU
TURN IT ON!!!
Second, if the LP gas is off you will get a fault when you turn on
the water heater.
Make sure you have it full of water and the LP tanks ON and then
turn on the switch.
It should illuminate for a few seconds and then the burner will
ignite and the light will go out while it's heating the water.
You can easily hear the burner when it's burning if you stand
near the outside water heater access hatch.
PS. you also may have an electric option in your water heater.
If so, you should find a circuit breaker in your main panel that's
labeled water heater.
And there will be a little black rocker switch that you may find
"hidden" behind a gas pipe in the outside water heater access
If you have water in the water heater, and are plugged into 120v
power, and have the circuit breaker on and have the little hidden
switch on, it should heat water electrically.
Note-- gas and electric are totally independent of each other.
You can use either or both at the same time if you're in a hurry
for hot water.
Good luck and happy camping!!
