Our 2016 Forrester Class C came with a box of goodies, including a white potable water hose. I assumed that all RVs did. Of course, if someone is the second owner of one, it may not come equipped any longer.

Those freebies are mostly low quality junk. I bought all new accessories when I got the TT but I keep the starter kit around as an emergency back up.

Included accessories

We were advised to not even use the brown cheap sewer hose that came with the MH> We bought a heavy duty at our local RV store, plus other stuff. So far, the potable water hose is ok. It leaked when I screwed it into the water connect at the MH, but I may have gotten the threads crooked. I think I may try it at home before we leave on our big trip, just in case I DO need to buy another one. Sheesh! This is an expensive way of life!

Ditto on the brown sewer hose, we purchased a HD type also, along with a LOT of other "goodies" over the past years.
Expensive? Well yeah, but isn't it fun! You have heard boats are a hole in the water where you throw you money, right? RVs are a box on wheels where you throw your money! Enjoy!

Yeah but if you buy decent items out of the gate not so much trouble, I bought the better sewer hose, and water hoses and so far so good

Agreed! When we have to purchase an accessory item, we try to get the best one we can afford, then take care of it so it will last for a long time. When I sell the WJ next year, I still have the "UN-used" hoses that came from the factory to put back into it for the new owner; taking my better hoses, cords, etc. with me to the next one. I will also refer them to this forum where so many great people will help you out!

While getting ready to leave yesterday morning, seen it with my own eyes. Lady disconnects sewer hose and potable water hose, then while carrying the sewer hose, she has, bare-handed, each end of the sewer hose and is dragging it in the gravel of the small RV park. She hooks her potable water hose up to the facet, then places one end of the sewer hose in a concrete 12" OD pipe and begins to flush her sewer hose...

Yes, she stuck one end of the potable water hose into the sewer pipe. Shut it off, disconnected, drug it all back across the gravel and to her motorhome.

I'm sure it won't be the last time I see this........
