Dump station etiquette

I'm sure this question is going to get a thousand different responses, so here we go!
It seems lately, and I mean several times now, I'm at a dump station and someone asks me to use my equipment! My usual response is, really, are you Kidding me!?!? I don't know about everyone else, but come on, my black tank is bad enough! In my opinion, if you don't have your own gear, don't take your rig out, or, maybe people are too lazy to get their own dump hose and attachments out, either way, it doesn't seem right!
Does this make any sense, or is it just me not wanting to share my toys!

Share/loan?

I think not, I do not lend my tools unless I go with them, I do not loan my toenail clippers or my tooth brush.

BYO or do without....

Gosh, that definitely is a new one for me. A good excuse to decline offering the hose is that you are in a hurry and need to leave immediately to avoid being late.

It's probably that they just don't want to get their crap dirty(pun intended), so after you're finished dumping, you're supposed to wait around until they finish using your stuff.....I don't think so.............

did use another person's blue portable tank once, but it was offered, I did not ask,........very first rally ever and thought we'd have a full hookup site, but was wrong, ........ because of his kindness, I only used it for the gray water and only one time and thoroughly cleaned it afterwards....... always go prepared now

Hope it's not an Oklahoma thing. Will be there next month. Hate to hurt someone's feelings if they ask.

As much as I hate to admit this, it HAS only happened here in Okie land, two different lakes, but three times now! I did enjoy the "toenail clippers" analogy though. I wish that I hadn't been so shocked, being the 3rd time now, I would have enjoyed offering clippers or even my toothbrush. And by the way, the answer has always been a flat NO, and no excuse offered!

I'm a nice guy, but I don't think I could keep a straight face if asked.

Now, let's take this one step further. I have a strict rule about my toilet too. Not even invited guests can use it. I tell them right up front, when they are invited. My hands will only fool with MY families waste. Don't like it? Don't come.

That's really weird. I'd be looking around for hidden cameras. Would be wondering if someone was looking to get reactions to stupid questions.

That's one that has never come up in my 40 years of RVing. I got a good laugh at it, however, I totally agree with all the posts below. NO. Just a polite verbal no, but a mental "hell no". Almost sounds like something for candid camera, however the subject might not be suitable.

That don't bother me if something that's a guest wants to use my bathroom, poop is poop.

I make sure non-RVing guests know how to use it, but even dinner guests are welcome to use it.

As for the OP- I can see someone new and inexperienced and not exactly sure what they need. Or, they had something and it broke. BUT- 3 different times seems weird!

What specifically were they after? Your sewer hose?

spock123 try this question out. Can I use your bathroom? We never do #2 in ours,we don't want to hurt the resale value.
